Nill is a multidisciplinary artist who currently lives in North Carolina. She uses symbolism and iconography to tell stories about Africa and Europe as well as the different narratives around her life. She mostly works with the figure, using the female form, and European visual cues, mixed with African and African American history and stories. Her paintings tell stories, and start dialogs based upon what it means to exist, based upon historic events, both past and contemporary. Using this as a catalyst, her work tells stories of rebirth and renewal.
